| 1 Da brød Israel op med alt, hvad han havde, og drog til Be'ersjeba, og han slagtede ofre for sin fader Isaks Gud. | 1 XLVI. Capitel. Oc Jsrael drog bort / med alt det hand hafde : Oc kom til Bersaba / oc slactede sin Faders Jsaacs Gud Slactoffer. | 1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac. |
| 2 Men Gud sagde i et nattesyn til Israel: »Jakob, Jakob!« og han svarede: »Se, her er jeg!« | 2 Oc Gud talde til Jsrael i Siunen om Natten / oc sagde / Jacob / Jacob / Oc hand sagde / See / (Her er) jeg. | 2 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. |
| 3 Da sagde han: »Jeg er Gud, din faders Gud, vær ikke bange for at drage ned til Ægypten, thi jeg vil gøre dig til et stort folk der; | 3 Oc hand sagde / Jeg (er) Gud / Din Faders Gud / fryct dig icke / ad drage ned til Ægypten : Thi der vil jeg giøre dig til et stoort Folck. | 3 And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: |

| 5 Da brød Jakob op fra Be'ersjeba; og Israels sønner satte deres fader Jakob og deres børn og kvinder på de vogne, Farao havde sendt til at hente ham på. | 5 Saa giorde Jacob sig rede fra Bersaba : Oc Jsraels Sønner førde Jacob deres Fader / oc deres smaa Børn oc deres Hustruer / paa Vogne / som Pharao hafde sendt ad føre ham paa. | 5 And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. |

Oc hand lod sig see af hannem / oc falt om hans Hals / oc græd længe om hans Hals. | 29 And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while. |

| 31 Men Josef sagde til sine brødre og sin faders hus: »Jeg vil drage hen og melde det til Farao og sige til ham: mine brødre og min faders hus i Kana'an er kommet til mig; | 31 Oc Joseph sagde til sine Brødre / oc til sin Faders Huus / Jeg vil reyse hen op / oc gifve Pharao tilkiende / oc sige til hannem / min Brødre oc min Faders Huus / som vare i det Land Canaann / ere komne til mig : | 31 And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and show Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me; |

| 33 når så Farao lader eder kalde og spørger eder, hvad I er, | 33 Oc det skal skee / naar Pharao kalder ad eder / oc siger / Hvad er eders Handel? | 33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation? |
| 34 skal I sige: Dine trælle har drevet kvægavl fra barnsben af ligesom vore fædre! for at I kan komme til at bo i Gosens land. Thi enhver hyrde er ægypterne en vederstyggelighed.« | 34 Da skulle J sige / Dine Tienere ere Mænd / som omgaaes med Qveg / fra vor Ungdom / oc indtil nu / baade vi oc vore Forfædre : Paa det J mue boe idet Land Gosen : Thi alle Faare hyrder ere Ægypterne en vederstyggelighed. | 34 That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians. |
