| 1 Derpå steg Moses fra Moabs sletter op på nebobjerget, til toppen af pisga, lige over for Jeriko; og Herren ind ham skue ud over hele landet: Gilead lige til Dan, | 1 XXXIV. Capitel. OC Mose gick op af Moabs marck / paa Nebo Bierg / paa Høyens Top / som er mod Jericho : Oc HErren lood hannem see alt Gileads Land / indtil Dan: | 1 And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD showed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan, |
| 2 hele Naftali, Efraims og Manasses land, hele Judas land indtil havet i vest, | 2 Oc all Nephthali / oc Ephraims Land / oc Manasse / oc alt Juda Land / indtil det yderste Haf: | 2 And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea, |
| 3 Sydlandet og jordanegnen, sænkningen ved Jeriko, palmestaden, lige til Zoar. | 3 Oc Synden / oc Sletten / den Dal imod Jericho / Palme Staden / indtil Zoar. | 3 And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar. |
| 4 Og Herren sagde til ham: »Det er det land, jeg tilsvor Abraham, Isak og Jakob, da jeg sagde: dit afkom vil jeg give det! Nu har jeg ladet dig skue ud over det med dine egne øjne; men du skal ikke drage derover« | 4 Oc HErren sagde til hannem : Dette er det Land / som jeg hafver soorit Abraham / Jsaac oc Jacob / oc sagt / Djn Afkom vil jeg gifve det / jeg hafver ladit dig see (det) med djne Øyne / Men du skalt icke gaa djd ofver. | 4 And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. |
| 5 Og Moses, Herrens tjener, døde der i Moabs land, som Herren havde sagt. | 5 Oc Mose HErrens Tienere døde der / i Moabs Land / efter HErrens Ord. | 5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. |
| 6 Og han begravede ham i dalen i Moab lige over for bet peor. Indtil denne dag har intet menneske kendt hans grav. | 6 Oc een begrof hannem i Dalen udi Moabiternes Land / tvert mod Peors Huus: Oc ingen mand hafver vist hans Graf / indtil denne Dag. | 6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. |
| 7 Moses var 120 år, da han døde; hans øje var ikke sløvet og hans livskraft ikke svundet. | 7 Oc Mose var hundrede oc tive Aar gammel der hand døde / hans Øye var icke dumt / oc hans Kraft var icke forfaldent. | 7 And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. |
| 8 Og israelitterne græd over Moses i tredive dage på Moabs sletter, indtil tiden for dødeklagen over Moses var til ende. | 8 Oc Jsrael Børn begræde Mose / paa Moabiternes Marck / i tredive Dage /oc Klagens (oc) Graadens Dage ofver Mose blefve (oc) fuldkomne. | 8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended. |
| 9 Og Josua, Nuns søn, var fuld af visdoms ånd, fordi Moses havde lagt sine hænder på ham, og israelitterne adlød ham og gjorde, som Herren havde pålagt Moses. | 9 Oc Josua Nuns Søn blef opfylt med Vjsdoms Aand / thi Mose hafde lagt sine Hænder paa hannem: Oc Jsraels Børn lydde hannem ad / oc giorde som HErren hafde befalit Mose. | 9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses. |
| 10 Men i Israel opstod der ikke mere en profet som Moses, hvem Herren omgikkes ansigt til ansigt, | 10 Oc der opstood icke en Prophet siden i Jsrael / som Mose / hvilcken HErren kiende Ansict til Ansict: | 10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, |
| 11 når der ses hen til alle de tegn og undere, Herren ind ham udføre i Ægypten over for Farao, alle hans tjenere og hele hans land, | 11 Efter alle Tegn oc underlige Gierninger / som HErren sende hannem til ad giøre i Ægypti Land / paa Pharao oc alle hans Tienere / oc alt hans Land: | 11 In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, |
| 12 og til den vældige kraft og alt det forfærdelige og store, Moses udførte i hele Israels påsyn. | 12 Oc til all den veldige Haand / oc all den stoore Forskreckelse / som Mose giorde for all Jsraels Øyne. Ende paa Mose femte Bog. | 12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses showed in the sight of all Israel. |
