| 1 Du skal lave alteret af akacietræ; alteret skal være kvadratisk, 5 alen langt og 5 alen bredt og 3 alen højt. | 1 And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits. |
| 2 Du skal lave horn på dets fire hjørner; hornene skal gå i et med alteret, og du skal beklæde det med bronze. | 2 And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass. |
| 3 Du skal lave askespande til at fjerne fedtasken i, skovle, stænke skåle, gafler og fyrbækkener; alle redskaber til det skal du lave af bronze. | 3 And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basins, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass. |
| 4 Du skal lave et bronzegitter til det i fletværk, og på fletværket skal du lave fire bronzeringe i de fire hjørner. | 4 And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brazen rings in the four corners thereof. |
| 5 Du skal anbringe det forneden under ind fatningen på alteret, og fletværket skal nå halvt op på alteret. | 5 And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar. |
| 6 Du skal lave bærestænger til alteret, bærestænger af akacietræ, og du skal beklæde dem med bronze. | 6 And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass. |
| 7 Bærestængerne skal stikkes ind i ringene, så de sidder på begge sider af alteret, så man kan bære det. | 7 And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it. |
| 8 Du skal lave det af brædder, og det skal være hult. Som du fik det at se på-bjerget, sådan skal de lave det. | 8 Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was showed thee in the mount, so shall they make it. |
| 9 Du skal lave forgården til boligen. På sydsiden, mod syd, skal omhænget til forgården være af tvundet, fint linned, 100 alen langt på den ene side. | 9 And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long for one side: |
| 10 Der skal være tyve stolper med tyve fodstykker af bronze, mens stolpernes kroge og tværstænger skal være af sølv. | 10 And the twenty pillars thereof and their twenty sockets shall be of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver. |
| 11 Ligeledes skal der på nordsiden i hele længden være omhæng, 100 alen langt, med tyve stolper og tyve fodstykker af bronze, mens stolpernes kroge og tværstænger skal være af sølv. | 11 And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver. |
| 12 På forgårdens vestlige bredside skal der være et omhæng på 50 alen med ti stolper og ti fodstykker. | 12 And for the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their sockets ten. |
| 13 Forgårdens østlige bredside, mod øst, skal være 50 alen; | 13 And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits. |
| 14 til den ene side skal der være et omhæng på 15 alen med tre stolper og tre fodstykker, | 14 The hangings of one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three. |
| 15 og til den anden side et omhæng på 15 alen med tre stolper og tre fodstykker. | 15 And on the other side shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three. |
| 16 Til forgårdens portåbning skal der være et forhæng på 20 alen af purpurblåt, purpurrødt og karminrødt stof og tvundet, fint linned i broget vævning med fire stolper og fire fodstykker. | 16 And for the gate of the court shall be an hanging of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: and their pillars shall be four, and their sockets four. |
| 17 Alle forgårdens stolper hele vejen rundt skal være forbundet med tværstænger af sølv; de skal have kroge af sølv og fodstykker af bronze. | 17 All the pillars round about the court shall be filleted with silver; their hooks shall be of silver, and their sockets of brass. |
| 18 Forgården skal være 100 alen lang og 50 alen bred og 5 alen høj, og omhænget skal være af tvundet, fint linned, og fodstykkerne skal være af bronze. | 18 The length of the court shall be an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass. |
| 19 Alle redskaber til alt arbejdet på boligen, alle dens pløkke og alle forgårdens pløkke skal være af bronze. | 19 All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, shall be of brass. |
| 20 Du skal give israelitterne besked om at skaffe dig ren olie af knuste oliven til lysestagen, så man altid kan sætte en lampe på. | 20 And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. |
| 21 I Åbenbaringsteltet uden for forhænget foran Vidnesbyrdet, skal Aron og hans sønner sørge for, at den fra aften til morgen kan brænde for Herrens ansigt. Det skal være en eviggyldig ordning, slægt efter slægt, hos israelitterne. | 21 In the tabernacle of the congregation without the veil, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel. |
