Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. |
| 3 På det tidspunkt, jeg fastsætter, fælder jeg retfærdig dom. | 3 When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly. |

| 5 Jeg siger til de overmodige: Vær ikke overmodige, og til de ugudelige: Løft ikke hornet! | 5 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: |
| 6 Løft ikke jeres horn mod himlen, tal ikke frækt med knejsende nakke! | 6 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. |
| 7 Ingen fra øst eller vest og ingen fra ørkenen kan ophøje nogen. | 7 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. |
| 8 For det er Gud, der er dommer, den ene ydmyger han, den anden ophøjer han. | 8 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. |
| 9 For Herren har et bæger i hånden med brusende, velblandet vin, og han skænker af den, selv bærmen drikker alle jordens ugudelige. | 9 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them. |

| 11 Alle de uretfærdiges horn hugger jeg af, men de retfærdiges horn skal løfte sig. | 11 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. |
